The Dark Lord Sauron from The Lord of the Rings has been an iconic figure ever since he was written about by his author J.R.R. Tolkien many years ago. The world was treated by the craftsmanship and artistry of the Weta Workshop design team that brought this character to life, as Sauron was brought to the world stage on screens all around the world. First appearing in the Prologue of the Fellowship of the Ring, this character makes for a design that cannot be easily forgotten.

Sauron is shown featuring him in all his battle-worn armor, with every rivet, buckle, and twisted-thorn vine motif shining in the light of the scene, as Sauron oversees his dark domain; The Land of Shadow. Many miles distant, the Tower of Barad-dur stands as a fortress of strength, while Mount Doom spouts forth ashes and fire, casting an eerie light on this dreary land.
